In their vehicle, Laurie, Kristy and Linda live alone on the American roads. Their lives are those of thousands of modern American nomads, no longer able to afford their own homes, or simply looking for a gentler life.
With no money to spare, these three women flee a part of their story that has left a deep mark on them. But as the miles and seasons go by, they confide in the director, unveiling their impressive temerity and resilience. Little by little, the complexity of these wounded women is revealed, as they struggle to let go of a heavy past.
Will they nevertheless manage, at the end of the road, to find the serenity they seek, in order to become someone again?
